You Make Miracles Happen for Pets

The Miraculous Journey Home of Bubbles the Cat.

Beautiful Bubbles escaped her home in Union, Missouri. Her mom Kelly was devastated. Kelly said, “I posted about Bubbles on social media sites and I posted fliers in the community. It was wintertime and after three months of searching, I was beginning to lose hope”.

Bubbles snuggles with Kelly

Bubbles was brought to our shelter as a stray animal and our staff called the phone number listed on her microchip. Kelly said, “She was found three miles from our house, across the river. I just keep wondering, how did she get across that river?”.Shelter staff treated Bubbles for ticks and minor scrapes. Her tail had a bad injury, and she was skinny but that didn’t stop the tears of joy from flowing when Bubbles and Kelly were reunited.

Each year we help more than one hundred lost pets find their pet parents, but less than seven percent of those are cats. Bubbles' journey home was a miracle! With your donation more lost pets, like Bubbles, will beat the odds and once again enjoy warm snuggles with their families.

Rip Wheeler Waited 336 Days For His Miracle Match.

Rip Wheeler on a fall hike

Rip Wheeler is a handsome, energetic, and loving boy but he has a strong prey instinct for cats (which means he chases them), and he is uncomfortable with children. We knew it was going to take a special person to adopt and train Rip. Joe, a volunteer at our shelter, met Rip and decided to take him hiking. The pair quickly developed a strong bond. Joe even took Rip home for a visit, but Rip chased Joe’s cats. Rip waited over eight months in our care before he was finally adopted. After a few weeks, however, he was returned. Rip’s future was uncertain. Volunteer Joe decided to try an extended home visit with Rip. After weeks of training Rip and convincing him that cats can be his friends, Joe adopted him. Joe, his girlfriend Carolena, and Rip spend many days hiking together. Enjoy your life Rip Wheeler!

With your support, we can afford to feed and care for hard-to-adopt animals like Rip Wheeler until they find their perfect match.

Your Donation Saves Hundreds of Orphaned Babies.

Seven Hundred and Seventy-Seven Puppies and Kittens Have Been Born In Our Care Or Brought To Our Shelter This Year.

Holly's Puppies

Holly’s Emergency Delivery. Holly’s life and the lives of her eight puppies were saved by an emergency c-section. With your donation, we have the financial resources to care for moms and babies like Holly and her puppies. Although one pup passed away the remaining seven thrived and were adopted by families who are grateful for their new furry family members.

Kittens Keep Us Busy. Picture-perfect kittens require gentle care, frequent medical treatment, keen observation, and patient love. Your contributions ensure that we can snuggle each tiny paw and prepare them to bring joy to families for many years.

With Your Help, Our Shelter Brought Hope to Orphaned, Lost, and Newborn Animals This Year:
